The operation for London City airport started at the end of October 2017, located in UK’s capital, joining Heathrow and Gatwick. TAP has become, therefore, the only carrier to operate this route between Lisbon and London, offering its passengers the option to fly to the financial center of the city.
Clients and TAP Employees can (and should!) follow the advices on FlyTAP and visit one of the most cosmopolite’s cities in the world:
Identify the historical places
The names are familiar: Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham, Hyde Park, Big Ben... A weekend is short for it all, even if London is the ideal destination for a getaway – and to return several times! The Museum of Natural History, Madame Tussauds and Tate Modern can not be missed.
Blend in with the environment
The movies have transformed Notting Hill and Covent Garden in romantic sets. But London Eye is, today, also a good source of inspiration. And after the shopping at King’s Road and Oxford Street – meccas of consumption – the night life calls in West End, Piccadilly and Leicester Square.
Heathrow, Gatwick and London City:
In 2017, TAP has operated around 7 thousand flights between Portugal (Lisbon or Oporto) and London – more 8% than the previous year – and transported 850 thousand passengers on these routes, which represented an increase of 23% compared to 2016. In a market where TAP continues to bet, we predict a growth of 15 per cent this year, which will bring us closer to the milestone of a million passengers.
In IATA Summer, TAP will have 67 weekly frequencies between Lisbon and London, serving the three airports – and 20 between Oporto and London, to Gatwick and London City.
