Exceptional sensory experience with the new comfort kits
They are unique, collectable and present six of the several Portuguese regions to the world, in a trip full of sensations, colors and scents. These are TAP’s new comfort kits – “Olá Portugal” collection -, shown, for the first time, at BTL. This collection is the result of an association between TAP and Castelbel and it was intentionally developed for the Company, as an authentic tribute to the unique and distinct beauty of our country. Inside the bag are scented packets, corresponding to emblematic fragrances of each one of the regions represented in the outer image of the kit. TAP passengers can, therefore, take home the scents of basil, Algarve’s orange or camellia, among others.
Each bag finds inspiration in the most characteristic landscapes and traditions of the locations that are represented: Oporto, Lisbon, Sintra, Algarve, Madeira and Azores.
The combination of the packaging illustration and an emblematic fragrance from each place makes every piece of this collection an object of affection for the Portuguese and, in parallel, the ideal option for tourists to take a little bit of our country with them.
The "Olá Portugal" comfort kits, offered to Business Class Passengers on long distance flights, are replacing TAP's award-winning and already iconic and collectible cans, that were on board since 2009.
From march’s UP magazine to the new Regina collection, more news with TAP’s brand at BTL
“Sweet and contemporary” is the interpretation UP makes of Aveiro’s city, cover of march’s issue of TAP's on-board magazine, starring actress Joana Barrios. This issue was also presented at BTL by Paula Ribeiro, magazine’s director, with Pedro Machado’s (President of “Turismo Centro de Portugal”) and José Ribau Esteves’ (Mayor of Aveiro) participations.
The modernity of a city that has one of the best universities in Europe, coupled with the tradition of the unmistakable Ovos-moles’ production, are the reason why Aveiro is considered the Portugal’s Venice of our days.

TAP Store, Company’s online store, had its first physical space at TAP’s stand, giving the possibility for people to buy the products, without shipping costs and limited to the existing stock.
Portugal Stopover’s program was also highlighted, in an activity accomplished with a partnership with Fábrica da Nata, also present at the spot with its iconic scooter. They also offered their delicious “pastéis de nata” to all TAP visitors. Delta oversaw the coffee and TAP Wine Experience promoted tastings with the wines that are part of the new onboard charter, in partnership with producers who won the last contest organized, last november, by the Company.
Regina’s new chocolates collection, served on board of our planes, is also exclusive and was equally present in BTL. Purposely created for TAP, these chocolates are presented in envelopes with themes, illustrating the regions and symbols of our country, as well as the destinations and the most striking decades of the Company.
Just like last year, two reclining chairs from TAP Business Class were available to all who wanted to experience their unique comfort, and the mockup of the A330neo Airspace cabin, already with the colors of the national airline, foreseeing the unique travel experience this aircraft will provide to TAP Passengers, the first airline in the world to operate with this equipment.
More than 77,000 visitors attended this year's BTL edition, among tourism professionals, journalists and general public. TAP reaffirms, once again, the commitment of the "Abraçar Portugal" project, undertaken in march of last year, through which TAP proposed to fulfill the role of ambassador of the country and showcasing the best national products to the world.
