TAP was present for another year at SISAB – Salão Internacional do Setor Alimentar e Bebidas, the most important Portuguese event in the food and beverage sector. Between february 12 and 14, Altice Arena, in Lisbon, was the scene of more than 500 national companies from various sectors, with buyers from 110 countries from five continents.
The B2B (business to business) fair is the opportunity for companies to start or strengthen their exportation field, enabling, annually, thousands of new businesses in different geographic areas. The institutional presence of TAP in SISAB is proof of its market relevance as an important vehicle for national exports and creates business opportunities for Portuguese companies, particularly through routes operated by the Company.

TAP Cargo's 25% growth in the last year is a result of a continued commitment in destinations such as Brazil and the United States, mainly from consignments captured in Europe.
TAP Cargo: Records in 2017, news in 2018
TAP Cargo closed the year of 2017 with a total of 78 500 tons of cargo and mail, a value that represents a growth of 25 percent when compared to the results achieved in 2016. 80 percent of all transported cargo originated in markets outside Portugal. A volume that makes this the best year ever regarding to transported cargo, during the course of TAP Cargo.
And if 2017 closed with new records, 2018 moves forward with new goals: to consolidate and expand Europe based markets to North America and Brazil and, in particular, to improve the airspace between China and Brazil with a freighter flight to Hong Kong, starting in May, to make TAP the best cargo air freight solution between the East and Brazil.
"Our presence at SISAB is very important because it allows us to contact with portuguese products exporters and to evaluate the best way to ship these products, preferably always in TAP’s holds” Américo Costa, Director of TAP Cargo, said.
TAP Cargo’s work can have an influence on international exports and, it is with this in mind, that its success can also be the success of national companies.
