TAP’s new CEO
In a message to the Employees, which he recorded on the day he was confirmed as TAP's new CEO, Antonoaldo was very happy and fulfilled, motivated by the new challenge he now assumes. Stating that he doesn’t know how to work "without being close to people", he promised a leadership of proximity with all TAP Employees and with the Customers as well.
In this transition, Fernando Pinto was pleased with the election of the new CEO, and certain that TAP is on the right track and has the right people: "He is a person who has a lot of energy, a lot of knowledge and a lot of common sense. I have no doubt that he fits very well into the spirit of the Company. "
"Antonoaldo will bring a new way of working to TAP, focused on results, but also maintaining our culture, because the people who work at TAP have a lot of passion. Deep down, he will continue what Fernando Pinto started." David Neeleman, shareholder of TAP, stated. Humberto Pedrosa, also a shareholder and partner of David Neeleman in the Atlantic Gateway consortium, describes Antonoaldo as "a young person with a lot of aviation knowledge and who can bring a “fresh air” to TAP. He was Fernando Pinto’s first choice which gives us, the shareholders, an enormous comfort. "
