This Christmas, TAP challenged its Victoria Programme Clients to freely use their miles in order to support a solidarity campaign. The transferred miles will be converted in useful products, of the newly opened Company’s online store and distributed across three institutions sheltering and supporting children and young people.
The first Santa Casa da Misericórdia’s institution to benefit from this campaign was Casa dos Plátanos, in Lisbon.
In this action, the first of this campaign, TAP was able to equip the Casa dos Plátanos’ bedrooms with twelve warm and soft duvets, whose patterns, alluding to aviation, will make children between 5 and 12 years of age that live in this Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon’s temporary shelter for minors in risky situations, dream and “be in the clouds”.
TAP Air Portugal and Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon’s representatives
Seeking to mark the holiday season, period that evokes familiar reunion and exalts a natural solidarity inspiration in everyone, TAP associated itself with Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon, a reference institution of the Portuguese society which, since its very beginning in 1498, intervenes in the scope of charitable projects, providing nursing care and several supports to the less fortunate.
Consecutively, two other Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon’s institutions will benefit from this campaign. The Autonomia shelter, a place for young people coming from Misericórida of Lisbon’s accommodations that provides residences where are given conditions and made available technical resources so that they can develop autonomy and responsibility skills and the Santa Joana shelter that welcomes children between 0 and 6 years of age providing them the closest living standards that they would have in a familiar context.
