There is a lot to say about Filipa Elvas and a lot has already been said. The flight attendant made the news when she became the first and only woman to finish the Great Wall of China Marathon and when she came in first in the Polar Circle Marathon in Greenland.
At TAP, she is one of the crew members praised most by the airline’s passengers, and she and 18 other front-line employees were paid tribute by Fernando Pinto, TAP’s CEO.
Filipa Elvas is in the news again. Not for beating a record in a race or receiving yet more praise, but for being part of a new project.
“The 100 day project” is a global initiative set in motion by the American artist Elle Luna, who invited everyone to come up with something creative every day for a hundred days. In Portugal, Edite Felgueiras took up the challenge and created the “100 days of women
” page, where she posts “a series of 100 interviews of 100 Portuguese women with professional or similar plans that connect and inspire other women to pursue their dreams”.
