TAP has launched Miles&Go, a new product that lets its clients use miles to reduce the cost of their tickets. In practice, Miles&Go offers effective discounts on the price of tickets in exchange for accumulated miles.
For 100 miles, the passenger will receive a €5 discount. If there are two passengers, 200 miles will give a €10 discount. The same formula applies up to a maximum of nine passengers: that is, the client can spend up to 900 miles and receive a €45 discount on the final price of the booking.
The option to apply the Miles&Go discount is only available for return tickets on TAP-operated flights in Europe, Brazil and the United States that are purchased via www.flytap.com by clients who are Victoria members at the time of booking.
New Victoria Clients without any saved miles can also use Miles&Go
Clients who do not have enough miles to apply the discount can still get the discount. The client gets the discount, and can then pay with the miles they earn on the trip. This is a benefit TAP offers its clients and which distinguishes the company’s loyalty programme.
TAP clients who have not yet joined the company’s loyalty programme – Victoria – gain benefits the moment they register.
More Miles&Go discounts
Victoria Clients with more miles saved have access to a second round of discounts that lets them increase the discount they get from the final price.
Five euros is just the first Miles&Go discount level. If they have enough miles in their Victoria account, the client can get up to an additional €150 discount.
TAP’s Victoria Programme is more flexible and comprehensive, and increasingly attentive to market trends and its clients’ suggestions, which translates into changes in the paradigm for using miles. Miles&Go is an innovative product in Portugal, which offers more ways to use the miles saved in the Victoria card, with the advantage that the discount can be used on TAP flights booked online at www.flytap.pt for any day, fare and even for passengers who do not have Victoria cards.
