Portugália’s Crews are already operating at the TAP Crews Terminal (TTA). Despite sharing the same space since March 22nd, it was only formally inaugurated on the 25th, with the attendance of officials and employees of the two companies – from TAP, Ramiro Sequeira, Chief Operating Officer, and Paulo Barbosa, Director of Inflight Services; and from Portugália, CEO Valter Fernandes and DOV, Commander Rui Catarino, among others also present.
Thus, Portugália gains a common space with TAP, improved and bigger, that will allow to improve its times of rotation inside the airport, thanks to the greater proximity to the SEF, the RX of the Air side and the availability of transport.
TTA renewed: Crew chose the name of the new briefing rooms
Bigger and more modern, the TTA has a new decoration and has won three new briefing rooms, two of them unique to Portugália. In all, there are 10 rooms that are part of the new space and are identified by some of the TAP routes chosen by the crew themselves: Lisbon, Porto, Ponta Delgada, Funchal, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Boston, Miami, Chicago and Moscow.
The objective of the fusion of the two spaces is, above all, operational, with an aim to improve Punctuality, one of the Company's main priorities since last year, following the same line as in the new Integrated Operations Control Center (iOCC).
"Proximity is in the DNA of TAP and today we are witnessing to the Proximity between two companies of the same Group, who share their joys and challenges and now also share a common objective and TTA", said Ramiro Sequeira, TAP's Chief Operating Officer, during the inauguration space officer.
Valter Fernandes, CEO of Portugália, even said that "in the first three days of TTA joint operation, the indicators are already very positive", ensuring that "Portugália is already saving between 10 and 12 minutes upon arrival in the plane, as I predicted".
TAP, thus, follows up on its restructuring and growth plan, making TTA space more efficient in order to enhance the efficiency and timeliness of the Company's operation as a whole.
