TAP is growing and with it grows the people of this growing family. With more routes, more planes and more Employees recruited, the number of passengers that we transport, and also the opportunities, grow.
This is how they have been, among family, the ceremonies of promotion to Captain of several TAP pilots’, who recently saw concretize the rise in their career that all this growth - not forgetting the hard work of years - has been providing for these professionals. There were already three intimate and informal ceremonies organized by the Company to recognize these pilots and their families, who were present at the events as guests of honor at this moment of pride to everyone involved.
The CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, who was present at one of the sessions, was thrilled and proud of these professionals, saying that people are the most important part of TAP and that their growth is, therefore, one of the pillars of the Company's own growth: "Our human material is very good and we will only be able to continue to improve the Company if we can make our people grow. That's what motivates them”, he said.
In an unprecedented rate of hiring, more than 40 pilots were hired each month for 8 to 9 months. This also meant that several pilots were promoted to Captain, beginning this year a new phase in their careers and in their lives. These internal initiatives are therefore moments of recognition, closeness, and celebration, with a special focus on families which, in the words of Ramiro Sequeira, TAP's COO, "are always a support in the professional life of all of us and without which this ambition could not be concretized."
"It's a dream come true, after a lot of work, a lot of effort, a lot of study and a lot of dedication," said Reinaldo Soares, one of the honorees. Nilton Nobrega also said he could not be happier and that this moment was "the culmination of the realization of a child's dream, the turning point that all pilots aspire to achieve one day, even more in the national airline. "
The Director of Flight Operations (DOV), Carlos Damásio, was present in all the sessions, to which he attributed great significance. Knowing all the new Captains and co-workers, stated that "we work so that you develop your own work with all the tools you need", adding that "growth is our medium name and that what we want is for us to make this growth in a sustainable way", while leaving at the same time a wish to everyone: "Be safe, on schedule, if possible, and with you we’ll go to the end of the world."
