The IATA summer began and TAP airplanes also began to fly to Tel Aviv, Dublin and Basel. These are the first new destinations of the Company in 2019, to be followed, in June, by Chicago (day 1), San Francisco (day 10), Tenerife and Naples (day 15), and Washington DC (day 16), and in July by Conakry, Guinea (day 3).
New routes are synonymous with the great growth that TAP currently lives, only possible thanks to the arrival of new aircrafts that join our fleet. The Airbus A321 Long Range, which will soon arrive at TAP, will bring another brand of modernity to TAP, alongside the world's first Airbus A330neo. By the end of this year, there will be 37 new aircrafts in the Company, 19 of which are Airbus A330neo. By the end of 2025, there should be 71 new airplanes.
Flights to Tel Aviv are daily, departing from Lisbon at 14:20 and arriving at 21:30. From Tel Aviv, depart at 5:05, arriving in Lisbon at 9:00. For Dublin, TAP offers two flights a day, departing from Lisbon at 7:05 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and arriving at 9:50 a.m. and 4:45 p.m., returning at 10:35 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., arriving at Humberto Delgado airport at 1:15 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.. Between Lisbon and Basel, there will also be operated two daily flights, departing from Lisbon at 6:40 a.m. and 3:50 p.m., and arriving in Basel at 10:20 and 19:30. On the return, a departure from Basel at 11:05 a.m. and 8:15 p.m., arriving in Lisbon at 1:00 p.m. and 10:10 p.m.
At Humberto Delgado Airport, in Lisbon, TAP Passengers from the first flights to these destinations had a special boarding experience. Israeli and Irish dance groups surprised the customers about to board the inaugural flights to Tel Aviv and Dublin. Also at the time of boarding, these flights were entitled to a ceremony with cut ribbon, cake, and welcome drink, courtesy of ANA Airports. For passengers who traveled on the first flights from Basel and Dublin to Lisbon, TAP also offered a voucher for a city tour of Cityrama through the Portuguese capital.
It was also a special day for the designated crew members, who could say they were the first to fly in the Company's colors for these new destinations in 2019.

New routes, new scales
Many TAP teams are working hard to open new routes, from the studies that are made for their viability to the formation of new teams to support the local scales. The Airport Services area is one of these teams, which also celebrates the Company's new destinations and the good work is done to ensure that everything works locally. Responsible for all airport and rotation processes, the Airport Services area has to ensure that, from the moment TAP flies to new airports, all local teams - including cleaning, catering, check-in and aligned with the TAP operation and have the necessary training to guarantee the quality standards of the Company locally and ensure the efficiency and regularity of the operation. It also has to enable the conditions that allow, in case of irregularity, to protect our Clients, signing agreements with hotels and restaurants that ensure their needs. In the end, the goal is for the TAP Customer experience to be the same, and of great quality, anywhere in the world.

TAP continues this year its route of growth. In June, the US cities of Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. are coming to our destination map to strengthen TAP's presence in the United States - one of the Company's strategic markets - as well as Tenerife, in Spain, and Naples, in Italy. In July, the Lisbon - Conakry route is inaugurated. 2019 is only beginning and it already vibrates more than ever.
