“Today we are celebrating the first anniversary of TAP Miles & Go and we want to celebrate not only with our team, but also with all areas. that interact with us”. This is how Luís Gonçalves, head of TAP's Loyalty Program, started the breakfast that marked the first year the program took on the TAP Miles & Go designation on November 6th.
The event brought together around 60 employees from various areas of the Company to celebrate “a very intense year. Nothing fairer than sharing these moments with the teams involved”, said Luís Gonçalves, who took the opportunity to take stock and put into perspective the growth of the Program. The challenge for next year will be the constant approach to the Customer and the Company's strategy. "Our growth for 2020 will include consolidating our presence in markets where we are already strong, such as Portugal and Brazil, and moving to new geographies, with the United States as a priority," said the loyalty program manager.
A year of achievements
A year ago, TAP Miles & Go succeeded Victoria with the purpose of revitalizing and giving a more international character to the Company's Loyalty Program, with ambitious goals that include improving and anticipating boarding and flight benefits and amenities, awarding miles do not expire for the best Customers, unrestricted availability to travel with miles, flexibility to upgrade with miles through Plusgrade, different ways to earn miles and access higher status with Club TAP Miles & Go, and offer flexible pricing on miles reservations , with values up to 50% lower.
A year later, the results are clear:
726 thousand new Customers (+ 36% over the previous year);
+ 148% of accumulated miles (over 1.3 billion miles per month);
+1400 Clubs sold per month, representing more than 728 billion miles booked;
+ 41% of redeemed travel miles (235,000 award tickets sold);
+ 368% NPS improvement to 18.8 (gradual increase since rebranding).
The success achieved this past year by TAP Miles & Go is proven and recognized by leading industry players through the election of the Program of the Year, the Frequent Traveler Awards in London, the Revelation of the Year Program by the Freddie Awards in the United States and more recently, as an International Loyalty Program of the Year, by the Best Destinations website in Brazil.
Anniversary also celebrated with Customers
To mark the date, TAP will give thanks to for the preference of more than four million customers and those who wish to join, for a whole month of very special offers and promotions.
Under the signature “Win New Worlds”:
Every day until November 30th, TAP Miles & Go will give up to 20,000 miles to its new Customers. For every 500 entries, the Program will offer 5,000 miles (in addition to the usual 200) and for every 5,000 entries, the prize will be 20,000 miles.
TAP will refund Miles & Go customers half of the miles they spend on purchases made on the program's anniversary day, November 6, to travel to any destination.
Throughout November, the Miles Shop offers triple bonuses. When purchasing miles, all Customers will immediately receive triple the amount purchased.
Throughout the month, on dates to be unveiled, upon Club TAP Miles & Go purchase, Customers will receive double their usual membership miles.
Throughout the month, Customers will be able to purchase travel on selected routes at a 15% discount. The program will return 15% of the miles spent on the reservation on dates to unravel.
From the 6th to the end of the month, Customers will be able to participate every day in this anniversary's special auctions, bidding their miles for experiences, shows, hotel stays and more. Also during this month, key program partners will have offers dedicated to this occasion.
All of these actions will culminate in Black Friday, where the Program has been reserved for Customers who have participated throughout the month in any of several special surprise initiatives dedicated to this occasion.
